Liberty Mining Consultants now boasts four seasoned mining industry veterans with extensive hands-on experience in underground room-and-pillar mining systems utilizing both legacy and the most advanced and modern continuous mining methods and equipment. Each member of this team has progressed through the ranks, starting as general laborers before gaining experience operating all section equipment, and subsequently advancing into mine management roles; first in section supervision and ultimately progressing to general mine manager. This deep, practical understanding of all aspects of underground mining provides invaluable insight for our clients.

Longwall and Maintenance Expertise:

Our team maintains its exceptional expertise in longwall systems and general maintenance with three industry veterans possessing extensive experience in both longwall operations and underground mining equipment maintenance. Our longwall and maintenance experts began their careers in equipment operator and maintenance roles, progressing through various positions of increasing supervisory responsibilities before ultimately specializing in longwall systems. They’ve most recently held senior management positions overseeing all facets of longwall operations for large US coal producers.

Elevated Continuous Improvement Capabilities:

Building on our proven track record of helping mining companies achieve significant productivity improvements and cost reductions through continuous improvement and operations optimization (including through the introduction of continuous miner super sections and optimized longwall systems), we’ve added a seasoned veteran of the US mining industry who has held a senior corporate role responsible for continuous improvement. This addition will further enhance our ability to drive impactful results for our clients.

Strengthened Mine Planning & Engineering Expertise:

Two experienced graduate mining engineers with extensive backgrounds in mine planning and operations are part of our team, and are focused on international projects. Their expertise enhances our ability to provide strategic mine planning solutions.

Broadened Operational Experience:

While our core expertise lies in underground coal mining, we’ve successfully applied our knowledge and experience to projects involving potash, polyhalite, phosphate, and trona, particularly in operations utilizing continuous miner equipment and longwall systems. This broadened experience allows us to serve a wider range of clients and projects.
